Girls' Night Out (Monday Evenings)
We see God making a difference in the lives of these children. We’ve also seen what Satan has done to many of them. Without going into specific cases of abuse, neglect, and the horrible things that many of these kids have endured, we can say that we’ve seen lives changed, hardened hearts softened, joy rekindled and hope arise where very little existed. We invest in their lives and in the lives of their families to make a difference and to introduce God to these children who desperately need love and attention.
Staffed by mature, Godly volunteers, “Girls’ Night Out”, now meeting on Monday evenings, gives girls from 1st to 12th grades, a “safe place” to go. Many of “our“ Refuge kids come from low income homes, without positive role models, where often their basic needs are neglected. That’s where My Refuge steps in, to fill in the gaps as best we can. On Monday nights, we send out vans to pick up the girls, we feed them a hot meal, have a worship time, provide small group Bible study, plus enjoy fun activities, all while showing them the love of Jesus.
